A picture of *Pearl

*Pearl

Little white fluff ball with either dirt or a couple dark spots on her head. They were caught with a live trap on a live stream after they were heard under the house. As more details become available this will be updated.

Pearl is a temporary name until their sex is determined for the sake of the Vet records. But, may change November 1st.

A picture of Onyx

Onyx

Onyx started approaching people Wednesday, August 14th, 2024. I was notified about her and went to check it out. She was very verbal, and skin and bone. She had a lot of burrs or tar in her fur along her tail and paws. So, I brought her home and put her in quarantine with fresh food and water.

Her birthdate is estimated. Their newest video is here: Playtime and Update about Onyx!

A picture of Tuck

Tuck

Abandoned and bottle-fed litter of 9.

Tuck is an energetic male puppy with a clear white marking on his chest. He loves his treats and is a bit of a pack leader.

He also loves to dig and splash in his water dish.

A picture of Geno

Geno

Abandoned and bottle-fed litter of 9.

Geno is a little sweetheart who loves to sleep belly up.

He had a tough fight as a puppy with some health issues. But quickly recovered and has developed a healthy weight even if a bit portly.

He is usually first to the gate to greet me, and loves his outdoor time to run amok.

A picture of Ronno

Ronno

Abandoned and bottle-fed litter of 9.

Ronno is a bit shy. He has white socks with a small white spot on top of his nose.

He loves to antagonize Zelda, who is still curious about the puppies. He has a soft curl to his ear tips.

A picture of Nuri

Nuri

Abandoned and bottle-fed litter of 9.

Nuri is a very shy sweetheart. She is mostly brownish grey in color with lighter colors at the base of her ears.

I have to make sure she gets her fair share of food since she is more timid. Nuri likes to hop when she is excited, like her brother Rabbie.

A picture of Gurri

Gurri

Abandoned and bottle-fed litter of 9.

Gurri is another food and treat loving puppy.

Also one of the first to find a stick outside to trot off with and chew.

A picture of Betty

Betty

Abandoned and bottle-fed litter of 9. Betty has ears. Big ears that make her little face look "batish". That is why I named her Betty.

The first character to be Batgirl was named Betty.

Betty is energetic and always looking for something to get into. She makes me think of adorable James, a baby fruit bat in Australia who was rescued and became famous on YouTube.

A picture of Rabbie

Rabbie

Abandoned and bottle-fed litter of 9. Rabbie's name is derived from Rabbit.

Rabbie will hop all the way across the room to get a treat or some attention. Rabbie is a brownish-grey like his sister Nuri and brother Stark.

He absolutely loves being the center of attention and playing with Bambi.

A picture of Stark

Stark

Abandoned and bottle-fed litter of 9.

Stark is the bottom of the dog pile of napping puppies, usually belly up with three or four others piled on top.

He is a bit more timid, so I am always careful to be sure he gets a fair share of his food.

A picture of Buck

Buck

Abandoned and bottle-fed litter of 9.

Buck loves his food. He has a tendency to fall asleep in his food dish.

He also loves trampling my decorative grasses growing in clumps in my yard. He loves to splash in the water dish outside and to steal the blanket from the other puppies for himself.

A picture of Bambi

Bambi

Bambi is a caring mother of Flower. She lived in terrible conditions and her last litter did not survive, except for one precious baby.

Bambi is working on socializing with other dogs and learning to trust humans. She has quickly softened up to scratches behind the ears and a bit of grooming. Her previous foster did most of the hard work on this poor girl who knew only abuse and hunger before being rescued.

Bambi has restored much of her natural weight now and is even playful.

A picture of Flower

Flower

Flower is Bambi's single surviving puppy. She is just learning about the big world where she is in clean sanitary conditions.

She loves to interact with other foster puppies and join in the barking matches. She may be tiny, but she is no pushover.

A picture of Bennie

Bennie

Bennie was thought to be the largest of the litter till all the puppies were weighed for the first time. He just has more of his father's shaggy coat. Bennie has facial fur markings that make him look a little werewolf-ish.

He is an absolute sweetheart though. He loves his naps and his food. He is the least aggressive in play.

But he still loves to do all the things puppies love to do.

A picture of Chella

Chella

Chella is all spunk. She was the smallest of her litter, but the most active as a puppy. She loved to antagonize her siblings.

When they responded, she would act like she was being injured. After they backed off, she would be right back at it again.

She is adventurous and loves giving kisses.

A picture of Rex

Rex

Rex was the largest of his litter and was very similar in appearance to his brother Sarge. But Rex had a white spot on his chin which helped me keep the two differentiated.

Rex was not the most aggressive puppy and most of the time was the first to head for a nap. Though playtime was frequently between him, Sarge, and Chella.

Rex loved being held when he was small enough to be held. I think he will be a cuddler.

A picture of Sarge

Sarge

Sarge lives up to his name. He loves barking orders at his litter mates. He has the most adorable floppy ears. He loves tug of war. And he is usually the last to start a nap.

He also likes to take responsibility for all the toys and carry them into the pen where they can be guarded. He would rather guard them than to play with them.

He also loves water. A dozen times a day he will empty the water dish by splashing all of the water all over the pen.

A picture of Maggie

Maggie

Maggie has a beautiful reddish coat with black highlights. Floppy ears and the most loving, sweet eyes I have ever seen in a puppy.

Maggie has already figured out she is staying here with my cats and me as we rescue more dogs in the future. She will be a new addition to my family.

She generally does not boss her siblings, but she will not be bossed either. She loves Prissie's Rat Toy. Prissie is not overly thrilled with this toy being taken over by a puppy.

A picture of Miss Fritz

Miss Fritz

Miss Fritz was relocated because she had not adjusted well to two resident unaccepting cats. I took her in and for the first few days, she hid. Eventually, she braved meeting Zelda and they became friends.

Prissie does not accept her but leaves her alone. Miss Fritz is becoming better at socializing with guests in my house. She loves having the high perch, but will sometimes come down to socialize with her friend Zelda.

A picture of Leo

Leo

Leonidas, Leo for short, was a rescue brought to me by a dear friend. Leo's tail was half missing and infected. Leo was an absolute cuddle bug, often laying on my chest as I watched TV and massaging my beard.

After successfully healing Leo's injured tail, he had a good but too short life. He started getting sick again and as soon as I had money to take him to the veterinarian, he was diagnosed with severe feline leukemia.

I held Leo as he slept for the last time, peacefully. But I was in turmoil for days.

A picture of Zelda

Zelda

Zelda is a Calico, except she is not, because she is mostly white. She is calico where she does have colors. She is a rescue from Glennville, GA.

When she was a kitten, her tail was too long for her body. She is a friend to everyone, including a Huskie named Agro.

She loves nothing more than being petted and being talked to. She is also worrisomely a bit "chonkers".

A picture of Prissie

Prissie

Prissie is a Silver Tabby with Gold color hints. I adopted her in 2013 while living in Macon, Missouri. She has been tightly bonded with me since she was a kitten.

She is sassy and can be difficult to introduce to new people. She does not like loud persons and must be approached with care.

She is very curious but leery of strangers. She often sleeps next to me or demands to be held for naps when I am trying to work.
